William Frederick Dawson, 71, of Centennial, Colorado, died Tuesday, August 20, 2019. Bill was born, in Boulder, Colorado, on October 26, 1947 to Gordon McDermid Dawson and Helen Jane Starr. He was the oldest of 5 boys, his younger brothers: Brent, Bob, Bruce and Jim. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965 and attended Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. He married Janice Wasinger on January 19, 1968. Deborah Carole was born in September of 1968 and Clinton Joseph was born in January of 1970.
Bill served as a Sea Bee in the United States Navy, from 1968 to 1970. He was stationed in Okinawa and Guam.
Bill was a Master Plumber. He worked for Englewood Littleton Plumbing in Littleton, Colorado and started his own business South Suburban Plumbing Company, in Littleton, Colorado in 1980.
Bill was saved, in 1989, when he was 42, after reading a book called Born Again. He read John 10: 30, which says "I and my Father are one." And then knew that Jesus was God. He loved reading the Bible and devoured the Word of God.
After a heart attack in 1993, Bill had to stop plumbing and was hired on as the janitor at First Baptist Church in Englewood, Colorado. He served on the staff at First Baptist Church of Englewood as Sunday School superintendent, Sunday School teacher of the Inbetweeners Class, Bible Institute teacher and many other ministries. He was ordained as a pastor in 2001, pastored Grand Valley Baptist Church in Grand Junction, Colorado from 2001 to 2006, Parkview Bible Baptist Church in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, from 2009 to 2013, and was interim pastor in Atwood, Kansas from 2013 to 2017.
Bill is survived by his wife, Janice, children Debbie and Clint and 7 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bruce and Jim and his grandson, Joseph Frederick Dawson.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Englewood, Englewood, Colorado on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 12:00 pm, burial will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 2:15 pm.
