William (Billy) Haas Jr., 62, went on to his heavenly home on Thursday, December 2, 2021, after a valiant battle with multiple strokes and a brain aneurysm. His devotion to Christ and his unwavering faith in God's precious Word supported him in his battle, along with his beloved wife, Cindy (who was by his side at the medical facility in Aurora, CO).
Billy Haas was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on November 12, 1959, to William A. Haas Sr., and Nancy Schultz Haas. He was the oldest of three sons, a faithful soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ, beloved husband, father, devoted son, member of the Potawatomi Nation, missionary, pastor, teacher, and mentor of Native Americans.
Billy served the Lord with his wife of 38 years, Cindy McMillian Haas, by his side in Montreal, Canada; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Native American ministries in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas and Denver, Colorado area. He also served as Pastor at Gideon Baptist Church in Fountain, Colorado, and taught at two Christian schools, the Mokahum Ministry Center and Oak Hill Christian College in Bemidji, Minnesota. He devoted a total of 37 years of his life to Christ centered ministries.
Billy is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy; daughters Leah Haas and Kayla Haas Parris; seven grandchildren; brothers Bret Haas (wife Kim) and Brian Haas (wife Sheryl); many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends worldwide. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, "Meme".
HEAVEN HOMEGOING MEMORIAL services will be at 7:00PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at New Heights Baptist Church, in Aurora. The address is 15490 East Hampden Ave., #100 (corner of East Hampden Ave. and East Hampden Circle. Pastor Adrian Dominguez, presiding.
