William C. Hines

We are sad to report that William Hines, born December 21, 1934, in Ogden, Utah passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024. Son of Clifford D. and Mildred (Denney) Hines, Bill graduated from Mountain High School in Lakewood in 1953 and majored in economics at Colorado A & M in Fort Collins until 1957 when it became Colorado State University.

He enjoyed four years of membership in Sigma Chi Fraternity. Bill met Kay at CSU and 66 years of marriage produced Jeff (Becky) of Reno, NV, Chris (Julie) of Ashburn, VA, and Brad (Jamie) of Ft. Worth, TX.

Bill & Kay were always happy to see their seven grandchildren - Rachelle, Ryan, Lisa, Christopher Jr., Kyle, Megan and Taylor in addition to five great grandchildren - Kenslie, Charlotte, Nola, Aili and Christopher III. Bill spent 20 years in the Air Force living in Germany, Minot, N.D. and California, retiring while based at Buckley Air Base. Bill also spent one year serving in Udorn, Thailand,

1967-68 followed a year later in DaNang, Viet Nam from 1969-1970. He worked 20 more years at Martin-Marietta/Lockheed Martin. Following retirement from Martin Bill was a dedicated member of the American Legion Post 103 All Veterans' Honor Guard, in Littleton.

Bill and Kay enjoyed travel around the States and abroad to London, Paris and Rome., as well as many trips to Mexico with good friends.

Services will be held Wednesday, April 24 at Ft. Logan at 10:00, Area C, immediately followed by recognition at Newcomer's Funeral Home, 901 So. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, co.
