Willliam P Kennedy Jr. , 95, of Aurora, CO, went to be with the Lord Wednesday December 22, 2021.
He was born to the late William P Kennedy Sr. and Elizabeth Brown, on December 11, 1926, in Brooklyn, NY. He is 1 of 5 siblings: the late Walter "Pat" Kennedy, Gearaldine "Jeri" Craighead, Clara Harris Weston, Jimmy Kennedy, Fredia Kennedy.
Bill went to all boys school St. Peter's - Roman Catholic School - in Staten Island New York, some of his hobbies as a young man were basketball, football and various sports, he also had a love for good music. Some of his favorites were James Brown, Ray Charles and most of Motown. He had a collectible that his grandkids loved to push the button on to hear the music play.
As a young man Bill entered into the Air Force on December 14, 1968 and almost served 30 yrs, and had done a lot of traveling around the world Germany, Hawaii, Africa and plenty of places in the United States. During his service he met a lovely woman named Dolores Ann Nathan, they entered holy matrimony on December 24, 1954. They were blessed with 5 children, 1 daughter, and 4 boys.
Bill retired as MGST from March Air Force Base, Riverside, CA. After retiring he moved his family to Denver, CO in 1970. Bill received an Associates degree in Automotive Mechanics from Community College Of Denver, in 1976 which is quite fitting as most of the family likes to work on cars. Bill loved spending time with his family and friends eating and enjoying each other's company, he was a family man as he has a big family.
Bill was a faithful member of St. Theresa in Aurora, CO and served as a faithful member of the church. Often after service he usually enjoyed staying after enjoying coffee with friends fellowshiping. He also received the Honors of the Fourth Degree from The Knights of Columbus In July 1997.
Bill is survived by his five children: Valerie P Kennedy-Jenkins, of Aurora, William P. Kennedy III from Sheridan, WY, Gerald A Kennedy of Denver, Dwight J Kennedy, of Aurora and John F Kennedy, of Littleton, CO. Former spouse Wilma Kennedy, He also is survived by twenty grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
