William Curtis Rogers, 87, of Centennial, died Friday August 27th. He was born in Maude Texas on January 19, 1934 to Albert and Velma Rogers.
William joined the Air Force after high school and spent over 20 years proudly serving our country retiring as a Master Sargent. After leaving the Air Force he went on to work for Honeywell Inc. until retiring to enjoy time with his family.
He was very active in his church, enjoyed playing golf, hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband and wonderful father. He had a great sense of humor and was a joy to be around. He was the glue that helped keep multiple families together as one big extended family through his love and kindness for us all.
He is survived by his wife Helen Rogers, with whom he shared 41 blessed years, in which they loved each other dearly and had good times. His children, Sterling (Sue) Rogers, Glenn (Julia) Rogers, LeRae (Bill) Barley, Lenne Holmes, Paul Martinez, Todd (Deanna) Ilk, Yvette (Jevi) Verneaux,
and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Velma Rogers and his sister Betty Joe Downs.
A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 3 pm to 5 pm on Thursday, September 16th.
Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Friday, September 17th, at 3pm.
Military Honors Ceremony will be held at Ft Logan Cemetery at 9:30 am Tuesday September 21st.
