William Schuyler Saggau (1983-2023)
William Saggau, 40, of Littleton, Colorado, went home to be with Jesus on November 15th, 2023, after a battle with renal and liver failure.
William, or Will, was born in Littleton, Colorado on July 25, 1983, to Ken and Anne Saggau. He was the first of their four children. Will, along with his siblings, was blessed to attend Zion Lutheran Church and School for his elementary and middle school years. Will attended Columbine High School from 1997 to 2001. In 1999, he was a survivor of the Columbine High School shooting. This experience would shape much of his life.
After high school, Will worked several different jobs, but eventually trained under his father as a glazier. He worked as a glazier for his father's company Kenosha Glass and Mirror for 20 years and was skilled in his work. Will was often told how kind, courteous, and joyful he was with customers. Will was married to his wife, Lindsay Reed, for six and half years, and they went on to have their daughter Kennedy Kathryn on November 12, 2015. Some of Will's joys in life were spending time with his daughter, smoking a cigar and talking with his dad, a good comedy movie, and cooking delicious food for friends and family, amongst other things.
Though Will had many joys in his life, he fought many battles, one of which was an addiction to alcohol. In his final days, Will professed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was taken into hospice care on November 10th to his parent's house where he was surrounded by his family when he passed on into eternal glory. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his love for the people in his life, his love for cooking, and his love for his daughter.
William is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Bob Pitz, Stella Rizzi, step-grandfather Mike Rizzi, and his paternal grandfather Bill Saggau. He is survived by his daughter Kennedy, parents Ken and Anne Saggau, sister Molly Hancock (Stephen), brother Ben Saggau (Christy), sister Emily Jarvis (Jon), his paternal grandmother, Rosemary Saggau and maternal step-grandmother Ginny Matthes. William is also survived by four nieces and three nephews: Corrie (8), Shepherd (6), Rosie (3), Hudson (6 months), Asher (5), Chloe (3), and Hadley (7).
A Christian Victory service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on December 7th, 2023, at 11:00am.
