William Sixta

William Sixta, Bill, was born June 18,1928 in Kansas City, Kansas to Elizabeth and Ernest Sixta, ( 7th of 18 children) and died October 6, 2018 in Denver, Colorado. He was the beloved husband of Clementina R. Sixta for 66 years.

Bill was a devoted and loving father to his children: Tony (Karen) Sixta, Frank (Jennifer) Sixta, David (Mary Jane) Sixta, Joanna (Jim) Zernell, and Mary Margaret
(Mark) Vidmar. He had 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Bill served in U.S. Air Force from 1948- 1952 and Civil Service from 1952 until he retired in 1983. He cherished his family and enjoyed sharing meals of his barbequed chicken and hot dogs. Bill loved science and nature and shared these wonders with his grandchildren, including burning their names into wood using a magnifying glass and the sun!

He had a deep faith in God and was committed to the Catholic Church. Bill found great joy and comfort in spending prayerful time with the Lord and wrote extensively about these experiences. Many who were touched by his love and faith, and our beautiful memories of him will continue to bring us joy and comfort.
