William Thompson, 84, of Aurora, passed away July 20, 2019.
He was born January 31, 1935 in Martinez, California, the son of Felix and Virginia (Valenzuela) Thompson. He was a graduate of Richmond High School. On December 20, 1964 William married Alice Brozekat in Reno, Nevada.
William and Alice spent 51 loving years before her passing in 2016.
William was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed playing golf, listening to Mariachi music, good food and an occasional drink, but most of all, his favorite thing to do was give detailed instructions to people, whether they wanted them or not.
William is survived by his children, Donnie (Janet) Thompson, Theresa (Chad) Barclay, Catherine (James) Ivey, and Angela Dale Thompson; eleven grandchildren, Joseph W. Scarborough, Andrea C. Scarborough-Mares (Joe Mares), Christopher T. Hall, Alyssa C. Hall, Jakeob W. Thompson, Julia S. Ivey, Tessa J. Barclay, Angela C. Ivey, Rebecca L. Barclay, Taylor (Nathan) Rios, and Morgan (John) Jenkins; six great-grandchildren, Skylar L. Mares, Charolette R. Mares, Presley J. Mares, Harper Jenkins, Julian Rios, and Kate Jenkins; brother, Johnny (Shirley) Thompson. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Alice Thompson; parents, Felix D. and Virginia Thompson; and several brothers and sisters.
