Wilma (nee: McRevey) Minow, age 84, passed away Monday, April 30, 2007 at the Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois.
She was born in Carlinville, Illinois to Charles P. McRevey and Margaret (Suess) McRevey. She graduated from Alton High School in 1940. She also graduated from Shurtleff College in Alton, IL and the University of Wyoming.
Mrs. Minow was married on April 29, 1955, in Laramie, Wyoming, to John Minow. She taught for a short period of time in the Laramie Wyoming School District when they were first married.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, traveling and gardening and was a member of the Green Mountain Presbyterian Church in Lakewood, CO.
Survivors include her spouse, John Minow, of Lakewood, CO; children, Charles Minow of Lakewood, CO, Joseph (Pamela Croom) Minow of Huntsville, Alabama and Paul (Nancy) Minow of Alamosa, CO; 2 grandchildren, Bonnie (Tommy) Ortega and Robbie Hopper both of Alamosa, CO; 3 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Riley and Raelle Ortega; 1 brother Merle (Jan) McRevey, of Alton, IL. Mrs, Minow was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Robert McRevey.
Visitation will be Monday, May 7, 2007 from 5:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home - West Metro Chapel. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 12:30P.M. at the Green Mountain Presbyterian Church, 12900 West Alameda Pkwy., Lakewood, with Rev. Richard Stewart, officiating.
Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area "B" at 2:30P.M.
